BMS Service Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated BMS (Building Management System) Service Engineer to join our team in Copenhagen. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and optimization of building automation and control systems across commercial and industrial facilities.
This role requires strong technical knowledge of HVAC controls, BMS platforms, electrical systems, and field devices, along with excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive service works on BMS systems.
- Diagnose and resolve faults on building automation systems, HVAC controls, and associated equipment.
- Perform software modifications, controller programming adjustments, and graphics updates.
- Commission and test BMS installations to ensure systems operate efficiently and according to design specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and produce detailed service reports.
- Support integration of third-party systems including HVAC, lighting, energy monitoring, and fire alarm interfaces.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and site personnel.
- Ensure all work complies with Danish safety standards and company procedures.
- Participate in emergency call-out and out-of-hours support when required.
- Maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with BMS / Building Automation Systems.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and control strategies.
- Experience with platforms such as:
- Siemens
- Trend
- Honeywell
- Schneider Electric
- Johnson Controls
- Tridium / Niagara
- Understanding of electrical schematics and control panels.
- Experience with fault finding, commissioning, and servicing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
- Good IT and networking knowledge related to BMS systems.
- Full driving licence.
- Fluent English required; Danish language skills are an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree, diploma, or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, HVAC, or related field.
- Experience working in pharmaceutical, commercial, or data centre environments.
- Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, KNX, or other communication protocols.
