BMS Project Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised BMS Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of Building Management System (BMS) and Building Automation projects in Copenhagen.
The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of project delivery, from initial planning and design coordination through installation, commissioning, and client handover.
This role requires strong leadership, technical understanding of BMS systems, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across complex commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, and mission-critical projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle delivery of BMS / Building Automation projects.
- Coordinate engineering, installation, commissioning, and subcontractor activities.
- Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets, and resource plans.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Review technical documentation including control schematics, points lists, and functional design specifications.
- Manage procurement of equipment and subcontract services.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular client and internal reports.
- Support risk management, change control, and commercial management processes.
- Lead project meetings, site coordination meetings, and progress reviews.
- Ensure compliance with Danish regulations, health & safety requirements, and company standards.
- Support commissioning activities and final project handover documentation.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing BMS / Building Automation projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC controls and BMS systems.
- Experience with platforms such as:
- Siemens
- Trend
- Honeywell
- Schneider Electric
- Johnson Controls
- Tridium / Niagara
- Excellent understanding of project delivery processes and construction environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project risks effectively.
- Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, KNX, and integrated smart building technologies.
- Experience working with consultants, contractors, and end users.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Fluent English required; Danish language skills are an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Building Services, or related discipline.
- Formal project management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience delivering projects in pharmaceutical, commercial, healthcare, or data centre sectors.
- Strong understanding of energy efficiency and smart building solutions.
