About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled BMS Sales Engineer to join our team in Copenhagen. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and delivering technical sales solutions for Building
Management Systems (BMS) and smart building technologies.
This role combines technical engineering knowledge with commercial and client-facing responsibilities, supporting customers across commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, and mission-critical sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the BMS and building automation market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and end users.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals for BMS projects, upgrades, and service agreements.
- Review project specifications, tender documents, and client requirements.
- Conduct site surveys and assess customer needs to develop tailored solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance during the sales process.
- Collaborate with engineering and project delivery teams to ensure accurate project costing and scope development.
- Present BMS solutions, energy-saving strategies, and smart building technologies to clients.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and CRM records.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and competitor activities.
- Support marketing and business development initiatives where required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in BMS, HVAC controls, building automation, or technical engineering sales.
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems and building controls.
- Experience with BMS platforms such as:
- Siemens
- Trend
- Honeywell
- Schneider Electric
- Johnson Controls
- Tridium / Niagara
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and tender documentation.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Experience preparing quotations, proposals, and cost estimates.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Full driving licence.
- Fluent English required; Danish language skills are advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, HVAC, Building Services, or related discipline.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, commercial, life sciences, or data centre sectors.
- Knowledge of energy management, sustainability, and smart building technologies.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
