Electrical Engineer - Data Center Construction
Anywhere up to €80'000 + Overseas Allowance + Flights + Travel + Accommodation + Bonus (104 rotation!)
Role Overview
Responsible for delivering electrical engineering support across large-scale data centre projects, ensuring design compliance, system performance, and safe, efficient installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducted detailed electrical design reviews to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and deviations from specifications and IFC drawings
- Generated and managed RFIs to resolve technical ambiguities and design issues
- Validated equipment sizing (cables, containment, etc.) and provided technical recommendations
- Managed submittals through approval processes and tracked procurement, delivery, and verification of electrical equipment
- Performed system walk-downs to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and internal management systems
- Coordinated electrical services with multidisciplinary teams and BIM specialists
- Attended and documented supplier and subcontractor meetings to monitor project progress and maintain programme timelines
- Provided technical guidance to subcontractors and ensured adherence to project and safety requirements
- Prepared method statements and risk assessments for construction activities
- Planned and sequenced electrical installations for optimal efficiency and safety
- Applied troubleshooting techniques to identify issues and implement corrective actions
- Maintained accurate document control and ensured all project logs were up to date
