Regional Planning Manager
Location: Dublin
Salary: Up to €120k + package

The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planning professional to take a genuinely strategic, group-wide role — not just supporting individual projects, but helping to lead, develop, and continuously improve how the wider business approaches planning, risk management, and operational excellence.
You'll work closely with Project Managers, Operations Managers, and senior leadership across the business, playing a key role in monitoring project performance, identifying and mitigating risk, and supporting the ongoing development and rollout of the company's internal operational framework.
Key Responsibilities
Working in conjunction with project teams, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and continuing to develop the Group Planning Department
- Supporting the implementation and change management of internal operational processes and standards across the business
- Reporting monthly to senior operational leadership on the status of key process improvement initiatives
- Performing monthly project risk reviews and assessing overall project performance alongside Project Managers
- Developing solutions and making recommendations to Operations Managers and Project Managers to mitigate project risk
- Helping implement corrective actions to manage and reduce risk
- Working closely with Operations Managers to closely monitor high-risk projects, managing and mitigating risk items proactively
- Forecasting project risk and opportunity across the business
- Making recommendations to Directors, Business Unit Leaders, and Operations Managers where intervention is required
- Providing internal consultancy and support in the stabilisation of distressed projects
- Assessing new major projects alongside Operations Managers, identifying internal and external risks and opportunities, and ranking projects accordingly
- Working with Operations and Commercial teams to accurately forecast and predict project outcomes
- Collating Operations Managers' monthly Business Unit reports for consolidation and review of risk and opportunity
- Working with Project Managers and Facilities Managers to improve the integration of Support Services into projects
- Attending relevant Heads of Meetings and Project Commercial Review Meetings
- Supporting the mentoring and monitoring of new Project Managers during their first project
- Proactively maintaining information security in line with the company's Information Security Management System (ISMS)
About You
- Strong background in planning within a construction, engineering, or major project delivery environment
- Proven experience operating at a regional or group-wide level, ideally with exposure to multiple concurrent projects
- Strong risk management and forecasting skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Comfortable acting as an internal consultant, supporting both healthy and distressed projects
- Excellent communication skills, with experience mentoring or supporting less experienced Project Managers
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to identifying and mitigating risk before it becomes a problem
