Project Manager – Building Automation / HVAC Controls

The Opportunity
Are you a Project Manager with experience in Building Automation, HVAC Controls, or M&E projects?
Our client is looking for an organised and technically minded Project Manager to lead building automation projects from handover through to completion. You'll manage the technical, commercial, and operational delivery of projects while working closely with customers, suppliers, and engineering teams.
This is a varied role where you'll have real ownership of your projects and the opportunity to develop your career within a growing business.
The Role
You'll be responsible for managing projects from initial handover through to final delivery, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing Building Automation and HVAC Controls projects from start to finish
- Planning and monitoring project schedules
- Preparing project documentation and technical information
- Ordering materials and coordinating deliveries
- Managing project costs and tracking financial performance
- Leading software and service engineers throughout project delivery
- Coordinating with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
- Managing project changes, variations, and additional works
- Ensuring projects are delivered to the highest quality standards
About You
We're looking for someone with:
- A technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline
- Experience managing technical or building services projects
- Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC Controls, or Building Automation is highly desirable
- Strong planning, communication, and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- A proactive approach with a focus on delivering high-quality results
