Electrical Engineer in United States

Salary: Up to $160,000 per year DOE, plus bonus

The role

A data center focused engineering firm is looking for a licensed Electrical Engineer to join their remote design team. You will be signing and sealing your own work across a portfolio of mission-critical and hyperscale data center projects, with the variety and depth that comes from working across multiple clients and programmes simultaneously.

If you hold a PE license, have a strong power systems background, and want to do serious data center design work fully remotely with competitive pay, this is worth a conversation.

What you will be doing

• Full electrical system design for hyperscale and mission-critical data center projects covering power distribution, switchgear, UPS, ATS, and standby generator systems
• Sign and seal drawings and specifications as engineer of record
• Medium voltage equipment selection and specification
• Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies to NEC and NFPA 70E standards
• Submittal and RFI review, change order management, and record drawing preparation
• Site observations and commissioning support as required
• Coordination with mechanical, structural, and civil disciplines throughout the project lifecycle

What we need from you

• PE license required or on route
• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5 or more years of electrical engineering design experience in mission-critical or data center construction
• Strong power systems background covering generators, UPS, ATS, switchgear, and distribution
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70, and NFPA 70E
• AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, Bluebeam
• Comfortable managing your own workload independently in a remote environment
