Senior Authorised Person (SAP) – HV/MV Electrical

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to support a major Data Centre project in Mons, Belgium. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile mission-critical project and take responsibility for the safe management and execution of HV/MV electrical works on site.
Key Responsibilities -
- Act as the Senior Authorised Person for HV and MV electrical systems across the project.
- Ensure all electrical switching, isolation, energisation, and permit-to-work activities are carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures.
- Authorise and supervise electrical works on HV and MV networks.
- Support commissioning and energisation activities across critical electrical infrastructure.
- Review and approve switching schedules, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Interface with client representatives, contractors, and commissioning teams to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
- Maintain compliance with all project safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
- Support project teams during installation, testing, commissioning, and handover phases.
Requirements -
- Proven experience working as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) on HV and MV electrical systems.
- Previous experience on Data Centre or other mission-critical projects is essential.
- Relevant electrical qualifications.
- Valid Authorised Person (AP) certification or equivalent HV/MV authorisation.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety rules, switching operations, lockout/tagout procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
- Experience supporting electrical commissioning and energisation activities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction and commissioning environment.
- Must hold an EU Passport or have the legal right to work in Belgium.
