Commissioning Director at Clear in APAC (Remote)

Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning strategy and execution across multiple hyperscale data center projects.
• Oversee Levels 1-6 commissioning activities from design review through to final handover and client acceptance.
• Manage and coordinate commissioning teams, contractors, consultants, and key project stakeholders.
• Ensure all mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems are tested, verified, and commissioned to project requirements.
• Develop commissioning programmes, procedures, and reporting frameworks.
• Drive quality assurance and compliance throughout all commissioning phases.
• Support project teams during design, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness stages.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure programme milestones are achieved.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular progress updates to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure all commissioning activities are executed in accordance with health, safety, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience within data center commissioning environments.
• Strong MEP background with either an electrical or mechanical bias.
• Extensive knowledge of Levels 1-6 commissioning processes.
• Previous experience working for a General Contractor or Commissioning Consultancy.
• Minimum of 3 years' hyperscale data center commissioning experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead commissioning teams across complex mission-critical projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced project environment.
