Clear Recruitment established Data Center client are looking for a Superintendent to join them on a 12-24 month contract in Michigan, United States.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all aspects of data center construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning, ensuring alignment with plans, specifications, and client expectations
- Lead coordination with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement timelines
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to avoid delays
- Oversee budgeting, cost tracking, and financial forecasting to ensure projects remain within scope and profitability targets
- Monitor daily on-site activities, providing direction to field teams and resolving issues in real time to maintain progress
- Ensure all construction activities meet strict quality standards, contract documents, and regulatory requirement
- Manage change orders, RFIs, and submittals, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution
- Prepare and present regular project status reports, including progress updates, financials, and risk assessments to stakeholders
- Foster strong communication across all stakeholders, including clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal leadership
- Lead project meetings (OAC, subcontractor, safety) to drive accountability and alignment across teams
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall project delivery
- Enforce safety protocols and company policies, conducting regular site walks and audits to maintain a safe work environment
- Support commissioning and turnover processes, ensuring successful project closeout and client satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to repeat business and long-term partnership
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a Superintendent, Construction Superintendent, Site Superintendent, or equivalent field leadership role on large-scale industrial, mission-critical, or highly regulated projects
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, sequencing, logistics planning, and trade coordination
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage subcontractors while maintaining project schedule, quality, and safety objectives
- Experience overseeing multiple work fronts and coordinating activities across various disciplines and stakeholders
- Proven track record of driving safety culture and ensuring compliance with site-specific health, safety, and environmental requirements
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and commissioning requirement
- Experience working within fast-paced project environments with demanding delivery schedules
- Excellent communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with clients, project teams, subcontractors, and commissioning personnel
- Proficient in construction management software and standard project reporting tools
