Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor
Location: Dublin / Kildare, Ireland (Travel to Germany as required)
Salary: Up to €90k + package

The Role
As a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial delivery of major engineering projects, taking ownership of the commercial and contractual aspects throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors, you will ensure robust commercial management while helping to drive project profitability and successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial and contractual requirements throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client commercial teams and key project stakeholders.
- Lead subcontract procurement, tender evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards.
- Manage subcontractor accounts, including valuations, variations, payments, and final accounts.
- Carry out cost planning, forecasting, cash flow management, and commercial reporting.
- Conduct commercial risk assessments and identify opportunities to improve project performance.
- Manage change control procedures and negotiate variations with clients and subcontractors.
- Review contractual correspondence and ensure appropriate commercial responses are issued.
- Prepare accurate monthly cost reports, forecasts, and margin analysis.
- Support project teams with commercial advice and contractual guidance throughout delivery.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying position.
- Previous experience delivering Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) projects.
- Strong understanding of commercial management, procurement, contract administration, and cost control.
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts, change management, and final accounts.
- Previous civils experience would be advantageous.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced project environments.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
