Construction Superintendent – Data Centers Location: New Lebanon, Indiana / U.S. travel Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: $143,000–$250,000 + equity About the Opportunity We are supporting a rapidly growing AI infrastructure company delivering some of the largest and most technically advanced data center developments in the United States. The company is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to manage field execution on gigawatt-scale data center projects. This is a site-based position requiring significant travel and the flexibility to live near the project for the duration of the assignment. The Role You will take ownership of daily field operations, coordinating trades, sequencing construction activities and maintaining progress against an accelerated project schedule. This position requires a hands-on Superintendent who is highly visible in the field, identifies problems before they affect production and ensures construction is completed safely, correctly and in the sequence required for commissioning and startup. Responsibilities • Manage daily field operations across a large-scale data center construction project • Coordinate subcontractors, trade partners, vendors and site personnel • Develop and manage short-term look-ahead plans and daily production targets • Sequence trades to prevent clashes, delays and rework • Identify and resolve blockers involving RFIs, materials, site access and inspections • Monitor subcontractor manpower and performance against the construction schedule • Enforce site safety requirements and maintain a strong safety culture • Conduct regular field walks and quality inspections • Ensure installations comply with drawings, specifications and approved standards • Manage punch-list completion and verify that corrective work remains closed • Coordinate construction activities with commissioning and startup teams • Support system turnover, testing and final project handover • Communicate progress, risks and recovery plans to project leadership Requirements • Previous experience as a Superintendent on large-scale data center, mission-critical or heavy industrial construction projects • Strong understanding of field execution, construction sequencing and trade coordination • Experience managing MEP-intensive construction environments • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and project schedules • Demonstrated success delivering projects against demanding milestones • Strong knowledge of construction safety and quality-control procedures • Experience managing subcontractors and resolving field-level issues • Effective communication and leadership skills • Willingness to travel extensively and live near active project sites • Authorization to work in the United States Preferred Experience • Direct data center construction experience • Electrical and mechanical infrastructure knowledge • Modular or prefabricated construction experience • Commissioning and systems-turnover experience • OSHA 30 certification What’s Offered • Base salary of $143,000–$250,000 • Company equity • Opportunity to deliver gigawatt-scale AI infrastructure • Significant responsibility and autonomy • Long-term career development within a rapidly expanding organization To apply or discuss the opportunity confidentially, contact: Louis Thorpe Louis.thorpe@clear-er.com +1 737 363 3853
