Controls Commissioning Specialist
Base salary: $190,000 – $250,000

We’re looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer, Data Center Controls to lead the design, development, and commissioning of SCADA, BMS, and EPMS systems across large-scale data center projects.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the design, development, and commissioning of SCADA, BMS, and EPMS systems across multiple data center sites
- Develop control system architectures, functional specifications, P&IDs, sensor installation details, and sequences of operation
- Program and configure PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMIs to meet site requirements
- Support and execute FAT, IST, and site commissioning activities through handoff to operations
- Help build and improve commissioning and QA/QC programs for large-scale deployments
- Mentor junior controls engineers and review technical work across multiple concurrent projects
- Travel 50–70% to project sites as needed
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience leading the design and commissioning of industrial control systems on mission-critical projects
- Strong hands-on background with PLC programming, ladder logic, function block programming, and major platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, or Ignition
- Experience with PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and industrial networking in large-scale environments
- Ability to lead technical discussions with contractors, design engineers, and owner representatives during live commissioning activities
- Comfortable owning projects from concept design through commissioning sign-off across multiple sites
