Recruiting for Gulf data center programmes
Most of the data center work in the Gulf is construction. Programmes are being delivered at pace across several countries at once, and the people who matter most are the ones who can take a build from enabling works through commissioning and into service.
We recruit those teams. A single consultant covers the whole region, which matters when a client is building in more than one country: pay expectations, hiring rules and the depth of the local engineering pool are different in each, and someone has to hold all of it rather than handing you between separate agencies.
- Permanent, contract and executive search
- Operators, main contractors, PMCs and design consultancies
- One consultant across every Gulf market

Tell us the role and we will confirm which market it is realistically winnable in, what it should pay and how long it is likely to take.
Why employers choose Clear in the Middle East
Four things clients tell us make the difference on a Gulf search.
One consultant across several markets
Clients building in more than one Gulf country brief one person, not one agency per country. That is what lets us tell you which market a role is realistically winnable in, rather than each agency only seeing its own.
We plan the move, not just the hire
For an international appointment, the steps after acceptance decide the start date. We handle the sponsorship and relocation conversation alongside the search, so an accepted offer does not come apart weeks later.
We explain what an offer is really worth
Gulf packages combine a base with allowances, and a candidate comparing it to a European or US salary will get it wrong without help. We set out the real value before the offer goes out rather than after it is declined.
We work a network, not a job board
Advertising in this region produces a very high volume of loosely relevant applications. We work a mapped network of critical environment professionals and screen for real sector experience before anything reaches you.
How we work with you
Three ways to engage, depending on the role and how quickly you need someone on site.
The disciplines we recruit into across the Middle East
Each discipline below is handled by consultants who specialise in that field. Across the Gulf the pressure sits hardest on project and construction management, commissioning and site development, because programmes are large, delivery windows are firm and the specialist pool is smaller than the pipeline.

Data Center Recruitment Middle East: your questions answered
We cover the Gulf, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, alongside the UAE market run from our Dubai office. Saudi Arabia and Qatar each have enough of their own hiring rules that they carry their own page inside this region. Keeping the rest on one desk matters because a candidate weighing a role in one Gulf country against another is comparing two quite different propositions, and one consultant who understands both can advise you properly.
Construction and delivery, by some distance. Project directors, construction managers, MEP managers, planners and package managers make up the largest share, followed by commissioning, which is usually the hardest group to resource and the one that decides whether a facility opens on schedule. Operations hiring follows as capacity comes into service, and we run senior and confidential appointments alongside all of it.
Yes, and we treat it as part of the search rather than as paperwork afterwards. For an international appointment, the steps between acceptance and a start date are what most often derail a Gulf hire: sponsorship, visa processing and a family move all sit on top of a notice period. We work through those alongside the shortlist so the timeline you plan against is a real one.
They are not directly comparable and comparing headline figures will mislead you in both directions. A Gulf package usually combines a base with allowances covering housing, schooling and transport, which can be worth a large share of the base again depending on the candidate's circumstances. Against that, an international candidate is weighing relocation and distance from family. We translate the offer into what it is genuinely worth to that person before it goes out.
Yes, and across the Gulf the contractor and consultancy side is the larger share of our work. We recruit for operators, main contractors delivering the build, client-side project management consultancies, MEP and electrical design houses, and the specialist subcontractors on power, cooling and controls. Each briefs differently, and we scope the search accordingly.
Shortlisting is usually quick because we work from a mapped network rather than an advert. The variable is what comes after: your interview process, and for an international hire the mobilisation steps. We give you a realistic estimate for your specific role at the briefing rather than a standard figure.
Permanent hires are normally contingent, so you pay when your candidate starts. Senior and confidential mandates run retained, with the fee staged across the search in return for exclusivity and a mapped market. Contract placements carry a margin over the day rate. Because many Gulf hires relocate, we also set out which mobilisation costs sit with you before a search begins.
