🚨 AV Design Engineer 3 | McLean, VA
I’m currently working with a leading mission-critical technology and engineering organization that is looking for an experienced AV Design Engineer 3 to join their team in McLean, Virginia.
This is an opportunity to work on complex audiovisual systems within high-profile, technically demanding environments.
🔧 The Role
As an AV Design Engineer 3, you will be responsible for developing and delivering detailed audiovisual system designs from concept through implementation.
You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, integrators, and clients to ensure AV systems are designed, documented, and delivered to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed AV system designs, drawings, schematics and documentation
- Produce AV design packages from concept through construction
- Review project requirements and translate them into technical AV solutions
- Coordinate AV designs with electrical, architectural, IT and other engineering disciplines
- Support equipment selection, system architecture and technical specifications
- Review drawings and documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Provide technical support throughout installation, testing and commissioning
- Work with project teams, clients and vendors to resolve design issues
- Participate in design reviews and technical meetings
🎯 What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of AV design experience
- Strong understanding of commercial / enterprise audiovisual systems
- Experience producing detailed AV drawings and technical documentation
- Knowledge of AV signal flow, equipment and system architecture
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Familiarity with AV standards and industry best practices
- Ability to coordinate designs across multiple engineering disciplines
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Experience working on complex, high-value projects

$104,000 – $143,000 + benefits
