AV Programming / Commissioning Engineer 3
Location: McLean, VA
We’re looking for an experienced AV Programming / Commissioning Engineer to join a growing mission-critical technology team in McLean, VA.
This role is focused on the programming, integration, testing and commissioning of complex audiovisual systems across large-scale commercial and mission-critical environments.
You’ll work closely with project teams, engineers, technicians and clients to ensure systems are programmed, integrated and fully operational.
What you’ll be doing
- Program and commission complex AV systems from design through final handover
- Configure and troubleshoot control systems, DSPs and AV equipment
- Perform system testing, commissioning and functional verification
- Diagnose hardware, software and network-related issues
- Review AV drawings, schematics and system documentation
- Coordinate with engineering, installation and project management teams
- Support system integration and resolve technical issues on-site
- Conduct client demonstrations and provide technical support during project closeout
- Document programming, testing and commissioning activities
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of experience in AV programming, commissioning or systems integration
- Strong experience with Crestron, Extron, AMX or Q-SYS
- Experience with AV control systems, DSP and signal flow
- Ability to read and interpret AV drawings and schematics
- Experience troubleshooting complex integrated AV systems
- Strong understanding of networking and AV-over-IP technologies
- Experience working on large-scale commercial, government or mission-critical projects
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
