Data Center Project Manager at Clear in Austin, TX (On-site)

A rapidly growing AI infrastructure company is looking for an experienced Data Center Project Manager to join its project delivery team.

This is an opportunity to work on some of the most advanced and technically demanding data center programs in the market, supporting the rapid expansion of large-scale AI compute infrastructure across the United States.

The successful candidate will take ownership of projects from early planning and design coordination through construction, commissioning and operational handover.

The Role

You will be responsible for driving project delivery across multiple stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required technical standards.

You will work closely with internal engineering teams, general contractors, consultants, vendors and commissioning teams to coordinate complex data center deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead data center projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handover
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, change orders and delivery milestones
• Coordinate General Contractors, subcontractors, consultants and vendors
• Drive design coordination across electrical, mechanical, controls and infrastructure packages
• Monitor construction progress and resolve project-level issues
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication across internal and external stakeholders
• Track procurement, long-lead equipment and critical project dependencies
• Coordinate commissioning activities and operational readiness
• Identify project risks early and develop mitigation strategies
• Maintain strong standards around safety, quality, schedule and cost

Ideal Background

• 5+ years of project management experience
• Proven experience delivering hyperscale or large-scale data center projects
• Experience working for a General Contractor, Developer, Owner's Representative or Data Center Operator
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and data center infrastructure
• Experience managing projects through construction and commissioning
• Comfortable managing multiple contractors and technical stakeholders
• Strong understanding of project schedules, budgets and change management
• Experience with tools such as Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam or similar
• Willingness to travel or relocate depending on project requirements
